Hey, I’m Zairah— but titles don’t matter much here.
I built Life Unplugged during a season when everything I thought I needed — status, people-pleasing, “being okay” — fell apart.
I was showing up to work, smiling in meetings, saying “I’m good” when I was barely getting through the day.

Let me be honest with you.
There were nights I ate cereal for dinner on the floor in silence because my body couldn’t take one more “what’s wrong?” conversation.
There were days I ghosted people not because I didn’t love them — but because I had nothing left in me to give.
And yet, there were mornings I still made my bed.
Days I chose silence over screaming.
Evenings I wrote one sentence that reminded me: I’m still here.

That’s a win.
I’ve lived through:

✨A layoff during a recession
I watched my identity crumble with my paycheck.
No one prepares you for the silence after your calendar clears out.
What I learned?
Your worth doesn’t disappear when your job does.
Hustle is not proof of value.

✨Grief with no funeral
I ended a toxic relationship and mourned someone who was still alive.
It hurt differently.
It was quieter.
Lonelier.
I learned closure isn’t always a conversation — sometimes, it’s blocking a number and choosing peace anyway.

✨High-functioning anxiety masked as “being reliable”
I was the go-to person.
Until I wasn’t.
Until my body started yelling — panic attacks, insomnia, fatigue I couldn’t caffeine my way through.
I learned being “the strong one” doesn’t mean ignoring your breaking point.

✨A moment I almost gave up on myself
Let me say this clearly: I never wanted to die — I just wanted the pain to stop.
If you’ve ever felt that,
I see you.
I survived it.
You can, too.
And no, healing doesn’t always look like journaling and yoga.
Sometimes it’s just not quitting.
And I've won, too — just not in the ways you’d see on Instagram.

✨ I set a boundary and didn’t explain myself.
✨ I stopped trying to prove my worth to people who weren’t listening.
✨ I chose therapy over pretending.
✨ I laughed — genuinely — for the first time in months after sitting with my pain instead of running from it.

That’s the real stuff.
That’s what I celebrate here.
What You’ll Always Find in My Work:

-
No fluff. No fake positivity. Just the truth — even when it’s uncomfortable.
-
Deep, human stories that don’t beg for pity — but offer perspective.
-
The reminder that strength isn’t being unaffected — it’s being unbothered by choice.
-
Space to feel — without shame, without fixing everything.
I don’t write for applause.
I write for connection.
I’m not here to be a guru.
I’m here as someone who’s been through the fire and still has the smoke in her lungs, but damn — I’m still breathing.

If you’re here, you’re meant to be.
And if no one’s told you lately: you don’t have to have it all figured out to keep going.

See you!
